OAKLAND CO., Mich. (WILX) – Nearly one year after a five-year-old boy was killed in a hyperbaric chamber near Detroit, the four defendants are back in court.<\/p>\n
The defendants were workers at the healthcare facility where the explosion occurred.<\/p>\n
Tamela Peterson, Jeffery Mosteller, Gary Marken and Aleta Moffitt were charged in connection with the explosion. <\/p>\n
Five-year-old Thomas Cooper was killed in the explosion at the Oxford Center in Troy in January, 2025.<\/p>\n
His mother was also hurt in the blast<\/p>\n
The court is determining if a crime was committed, and if there\u2019s enough evidence to send the case to trial.<\/p>\n
Peterson, the Oxford Center\u2019s founder and CEO, alongside the Center\u2019s safety manager, are facing charges of second degree murder.<\/p>\n
