Park Avenue southbound and was hit by a 2019 blue BMW SUV traveling eastbound, according to the Homicide Squad.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was identified as Thomas Maloney, 79, of Long Beach, police said. He suffered severe trauma and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a physician.<\/p>\n<p>The SUV was being driven by a 58-year-old man who remained at the scene, investigators said. No other injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Details about Maloney\u2019s life were not immediately available.
