The Fresno Grizzlies announced Tuesday that the popular 2000s rapper will headline the event at Chukchansi Park, showcasing what can be done when you distill agave.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Grammy-award winning artist, there will be a Tequila Tastery, multiple food trucks, and more at the event, according to a news release from the host, the Fresno Grizzlies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith a headliner as iconic as Nelly, we believe this year\u2019s entertainment is second-to-none,\u201d said Derek Franks, president of the Grizzlies. \u201cNelly\u2019s energy, catalog, and crossover appeal make him a perfect fit for Tequila Fest. Having a global superstar take the stage on May 2 elevates this event to a whole new level and further cements Tequila Fest as one of the premier annual concerts in the Central Valley.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tickets<\/a> are available now for the event that was awarded the Best Non-Gameday Event in 2023 by Minor League Baseball. Past headliners included Ludacris, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes, T.I., and Lil Jon.<\/p>\n

The Texas-born rapper drew national attention with his debut album \u201cCountry Grammar,\u201d featuring songs \u201cE.I.\u201d and \u201cRide Wit Me.\u201d The Diamond-certified album topped the Billboard 200 chart for five consecutive weeks in 2000.<\/p>\n

April 7 will be opening day for the Fresno Grizzlies with the promotional calendar coming out soon, said a spokesperson. Just be sure to wear your Air Force Ones.<\/p>\n
