Snowboarder Chloe Kim says she’s \u201cgood to go\u201d for the Milan Cortina Olympics<\/a> despite tearing the labrum in her shoulder\u00a0during a training run<\/a>\u00a0last week in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

The two-time gold medalist in the halfpipe\u00a0posted an update to Instagram<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday, saying she wasn’t surprised to learn she had torn her labrum \u2014 the lining of the socket that holds the shoulder together. She did not say which shoulder she injured when she fell while getting ready for this weekend’s Laax Open.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are two ways to do it, and the way I did it is less severe than the other, so I’m really happy about that,\u201d she said. \u201cObviously, I\u2019m really disappointed that I can\u2019t snowboard until right before the Olympics, which is going to be hard. I haven\u2019t gotten nearly the amount of reps that I would have liked, but that\u2019s OK.\u201d<\/p>\n

The women’s Olympic halfpipe contest starts Feb. 11.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCleveland Browns star Myles Garrett opens up about his relationship with Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, sharing what he admires most about her approach to competition.\u00a0\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old Kim, who already has qualified for the U.S. team and is the heavy favorite to win in Italy if she\u2019s healthy, said she won\u2019t compete this weekend. She didn\u2019t mention the Winter X Games in Aspen later this month, which are the last big contest before the Olympics.<\/p>\n

Kim has only been in one competition this season \u2014 last month in Copper Mountain \u2014 and while warming up for the final there, she suffered a shoulder injury, as well.<\/p>\n

In her video, Kim said she\u2019ll have to wear a \u201csuper-sexy shoulder brace\u201d that is uncomfortable.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went through a bunch of different waves of emotions, but honestly, I\u2019m really excited for this week,” she said.<\/p>\n

The end of the video flashed to her picking up her boyfriend, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, at the train station.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so grateful to be able to do this even though the lows can get pretty damn low,\u201d Kimi wrote on the post that went along with her video. \u201cExcited for a week of exploration!\u201d<\/p>\n
