In June, high-profile Democrats are set to square off for Nancy Pelosi\u2019s seat, and special elections for the District 2 and 4 Board of Supervisors\u2019 seats could test how much heat remains from the Joel Engardio recall.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In November, half of the supervisor and school board seats will be in play, and the public defender\u2019s race could spotlight discussions about civil rights and public safety. Watch for measures that could bring taxes to support public transit and bonds for affordable housing.<\/p>\n
