Prince Harry is allegedly struggling with life in Hollywood \u2014 while his wife, Meghan Markle, is thriving.<\/p>\n
The Duke of Sussex is \u201csomewhat uneasy\u201d with living under the spotlight, royal author\u00a0Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly<\/a> in an article published Tuesday.<\/p>\n \u201cHe has suffered from crippling social anxiety,\u201d Anderson alleged, noting that \u201cMeghan embraces that life more.\u201d<\/p>\n Prince Harry is allegedly struggling with life in Los Angeles \u2014 while wife Meghan Markle is thriving. Of course it does,\u201d Anderson quipped. <\/p>\n Anderson believes Harry is \u201ccontent\u201d with his life in ritzy Montecito, Calif.,<\/a> but that it saddens him that the couple\u2019s children \u2014 Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4 \u2014 are growing up without ties to royal life.<\/p>\n \u201cMeghan embraces that life more,\u201d Anderson said. He feels more like himself here.\u201d <\/p>\n The insider explained that the \u201cSpare<\/a>\u201d author didn\u2019t enjoy the rigidity of royal life.<\/p>\n \u201cHe had this crazy schedule and would come back through the palace gates and couldn\u2019t go out or have a personal life,\u201d the source said. <\/p>\n He is also grappling with his kids not getting to know their \u201croyal heritage.\u201d Getty Images for ABA<\/p>\n Another source claimed Harry is happy living a more private life in California than he did as a British royal. Netflix<\/p>\n Anderson, however, claimed that Harry thrived under the strict rules of the monarchy.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople often forget that Harry is at his core an\u00a0army officer,\u201d Anderson said. \u201cHe\u2019s all about structure, honor and duty \u2014 things that are missing from his life in Montecito.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n It was especially \u201cpainful\u201d for Harry \u2014 who served in the British army for 10 years \u2014 when his honorary military titles were stripped <\/a>after he resigned from his royal duties in 2020.<\/p>\n \u201cThat was extremely difficult because the military was a big part of his life,\u201d the source said. <\/p>\n Harry is reportedly spending much of his time with his kids.
