(Photo courtesy NCTD)<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/gonctd.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">North County Transit District<\/a> announced Wednesday that it has appointed Adrienne Johnson to serve as the agency\u2019s new deputy chief people officer.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson\u2019s role will consist of overseeing NCTD\u2019s Human Resources and Learning and Development departments. She will report to deputy chief executive officer and chief general counsel Lori Winfree, according to NCTD officials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am moved by this leadership role at NCTD and look forward to enhancing the amazing work they\u2019re already doing,\u201d Johnson said in a statement.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs I continue my journey with NCTD, I will lead with a deliberate and guided people-centered approach by the principle of treating others the way they want to be treated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With more than 17 years of experience in human resources, Johnson has led initiatives in talent management, organizational design and regulatory compliance, officials said. Prior to joining NCTD, Johnson held leadership roles for organizations such as CVS Health and Starbucks.<\/p>\n<p>While at CVS, she oversaw talent reviews and succession planning, resolved employee issues and drove company objectives. She led and enforced programs focusing on employee performance and engagement during her tenure at Starbucks.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson also serves as vice president of the San Diego chapter of the <a href=\"https:\/\/members.comtonational.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Conference of Minority Transportation Officials<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdrienne brings in a wealth of experience to this role, and we\u2019re excited to have her on board to forward critical initiatives at NCTD,\u201d Winfree said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cProviding a world-class employee experience is a key facet of NCTD\u2019s North Star, and I have no doubt that Adrienne will work diligently to move us forward to our goals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>READ NEXT<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Adrienne L.
