He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The shooter, identified only as an adult male, fled the scene before police arrived. (Long Beach Police Department)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">On Jan. 14, 2026, investigators released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7FKcXfUg8C0&amp;t=30s\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:new surveillance video;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">new surveillance video<\/a> capturing the suspect walking in a nearby parking lot minutes before the deadly incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He is described as a Black man in his 20s or 30s and was last seen wearing a light blue or teal hat, a red shirt, a light-colored zip-up hoodie, blue jeans and dark-colored shoes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Detectives believe the suspect may frequent the Northpointe Apartments in the 5400 block of Paramount Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information on the case is urged to call Homicide Detectives Michael Hubbard and Kelsey Myers at 562-570-7244.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Anonymous tips can be provided to L.A.
