Photo by Ben Hensley<\/p>\n<p>published on January 15, 2026 &#8211; 3:42 PM<br \/>Written by <\/p>\n<p>When <a href=\"https:\/\/thebusinessjournal.com\/tesla-to-open-store-and-gallery-in-fresno\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fresno Lexus relocated to its new home less than a mile from its former location near Palm and Herndon avenues<\/a>, it left a void in one of the largest clusters of auto dealerships in the Fresno area.<\/p>\n<p>The large number of Teslas now populating the former Fresno Lexus lot at 777 W. Palmdon Dr. may signal a future expansion for the next door Tesla showroom that opened just over a year ago in the former Fresno Inifiniti location.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla representatives remain mum on the status of the possible site.<\/p>\n<p>Fresno Lexus moved to its new location at 7201 N. Palm Ave. in March 2025, doing so primarily with a focus on expansion. General Manager of Fresno Lexus Mike Gibson said the new site nearly doubles the space for vehicle service and inventory space.<\/p>\n<p>The vacant Fresno Lexus dealership\u2019s 30,000-square-foot building falls comfortably within the average size for Tesla showrooms in a number of similarly sized markets both in California and across the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, Tesla\u2019s current showroom at 711 W. Palmdon Ave. \u2014\u00a0the former <a href=\"https:\/\/thebusinessjournal.com\/fresno-infiniti-sold-to-finegan-auto-dealer-family\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fresno Infiniti dealership sold in 2024<\/a> \u2014 sits at just over 15,000 square feet.<\/p>\n<p>The former Fresno Lexus back lot has recently collected a large number of Tesla vehicles, but it\u2019s not known if they are vehicles being serviced or purchases waiting for pickup.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla employees at the 711 W. Palmdon Ave. showroom directed media questions to the electric carmaker\u2019s press office. Requests for comment were not returned.<\/p>\n<p>The 777 W.
