FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Wagyu 2 Go at Shaw and West in northwest Fresno blends a unique burger experience.<\/p>\n
Wagyu is a premium beef developed in Japan.<\/p>\n
Waheed Jawad calls the patties a mix of Wagyu and American Angus beef.<\/p>\n
“This is what distinguishes the wagyu from the regular burger — if you see the marbleization of the bacon and the beef patty,” he said.<\/p>\n
Grilled onions and an onion ring go on a toasted, soft potato bun.<\/p>\n
Cowboy aioli sauce completes the Western Wagyu burger.<\/p>\n
It came with a half-and-half order of onion rings and fries.<\/p>\n
Dubai chocolate mixes pistachio, chocolate and the Middle Eastern dessert kunafe.<\/p>\n
It’s blended into a milkshake and perfect for cooling off after trying the spicy green beans.<\/p>\n
The garlic marinated chicken sandwich shows this is more than a burger joint.<\/p>\n
“This is the sauce that makes all of it – the garlic sauce,” Jawad said.<\/p>\n
The Zoe garlic grilled chicken salad honors a now-closed restaurant where Waheed used to dine while a Fresno State student.<\/p>\n
“Why not do something I kind of grew up eating,” he said.<\/p>\n
Dates add a unique sweetness to the salad.<\/p>\n
“It’s a Mediterranean-inspired dish,” Jawad said.<\/p>\n
