The city of Fresno has reduced wait times for bus riders traveling later at night to River Park Shopping Center. The city also further extended the bus route to southeast Fresno\u2019s Fancher Creek.<\/p>\n
Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer said in a news release the city wants to increase access to the two shopping centers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese enhancements are part of our continued effort to provide safe, dependable, and efficient transit options for all Fresno residents,\u201d Dyer said. \u201cBy reducing wait times and expanding service to key destinations, we\u2019re making it easier for riders to get where they need to go \u2014 whether for work, school, shopping, or entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n
Late Night Bus Riders Don\u2019t Have to Wait As Long<\/p>\n
Riders used to wait an hour between buses for Night Route 38<\/a>, but now interval is 30 minutes. Stops along the Cedar Avenue route include downtown Fresno, Calwa, Edison, Roosevelt, Duncan and McLane high schools, Granite Park, Fresno State, and River Park.<\/p>\n The bus runs from 5:30 a.m. to midnight, including on Saturdays.<\/p>\n
