But in sports, as in life, the power of belief can carry you a long way.<\/p>\n
There is something special going on in the Sharks\u2019 locker room.<\/p>\n
Head coach Ryan Warsofsky tried to quantify it last Wednesday, after the Sharks came back in the last minute to stun the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 in OT.<\/p>\n
\u201cSitting with the coaches in there, it\u2019s the first time in my four years, where there\u2019s this emotion in our locker room,\u201d Warsofsky said, touching on when he started as an assistant coach for the Sharks in 2022-23. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to even put into words, the feeling that we get after that type of game, that emotional win. But there\u2019s some real good stuff going on right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cCredit to the group that they\u2019ve put in the work. They understand how we want to play. They just stick with it. They don\u2019t give up. But the feeling in that locker room is pretty special.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sticking with it, that\u2019s exactly what the Sharks did at the Washington Capitals on Thursday. And that\u2019s what they\u2019ve been doing, against teams good and bad, especially since their incredible comeback win at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Dec. 13. Including their Dec. 11 comeback win at the Toronto Maple Leafs, they\u2019re 10-5-0 in their last 15 games.<\/p>\n
