Box Score<\/a> RENO, Nev. – Nevada Women’s Basketball returned home to face Fresno State on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Bulldogs, 54-44.<\/p>\n Shooting struggles through\u00a0the entire game\u00a0haunted the Pack, but most specifically in the fourth quarter. Nevada\u00a0failed to score for over\u00a0half of the 10 minutes as Fresno State went on an 15-0 run to put them up by 18 and ultimately put the game away. The Pack shot only 20 percent from the floor in the fourth, and 29.4 percent for the full 40 minutes.<\/p>\n The Pack started slow with only one bucket in the first four minutes of the game. Each team then fell into several minutes of a scoring drought before the Pack found some momentum late.\u00a0With under a minute left in the first, Nevada tied the game at nine before grabbing its first lead, 11-9, off of a fast-break jumper from Maia Rosarion<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Fresno State was held to its third lowest first quarter of the season in terms of scoring with only nine points.\u00a0<\/p>\n Nevada flipped the script in the second, holding Fresno State without a bucket for over three minutes into the quarter. Once again, both teams fell into scoring droughts. But Fresno State went on a 6-0 scoring\u00a0run with just under six minutes to go until halftime to regain the lead.<\/p>\n In the third, the Pack was able to cut the lead to one after outscoring the Bulldogs, 13-12. But momentum wasn’t maintained into the fourth.\u00a0<\/p>\n Besides struggling to get shots to fall, two other sore points continued to trouble the\u00a0Pack as it had 19 turnovers and only shot 58.3\u00a0percent from the line.\u00a0<\/p>\n
