A suspect remains at large after a man was found shot to death near the railroad tracks in Long Beach.<\/p>\n
On Jan. 12, police responded to a shooting on the 2300 block of East Artesia Boulevard just before 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Officers found the victim, identified only as an adult male, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n
The shooter fled the scene before police arrived. Details on a possible motive or the circumstances leading up to the deadly shooting remain unclear.<\/p>\n
Homicide detectives did not provide information about a possible suspect.<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s identity is being withheld pending the next of kin notification by the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner.<\/p>\n
