{"id":139507,"date":"2026-01-19T00:23:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T00:23:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/139507\/"},"modified":"2026-01-19T00:23:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T00:23:08","slug":"woman-threw-weight-at-gymgoer-who-she-believed-her-partner-was-involved-with-cops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/139507\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman threw weight at gymgoer who she believed &#8216;her partner was involved with&#8217;: cops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (WKRC) &#8211; A woman allegedly threw a weight at a gymgoer who she believed her &#8220;partner was involved with&#8221; in an attempt to cause injury.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Precinct4\/posts\/pfbid02x4Zpn2PNL9ezyzS663eWPbtZ5WmAonm6XjsohjYeoegeomiR5kTv9JuBBg1nuieXl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">release <\/a>from Mark Herman, Harris County Constable for Precinct 4, officers were dispatched to a 24 Hour Fitness on January 7 regarding an aggravated assault call.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Upon arrival, deputies learned that a female suspect assaulted the complainant inside the gym after recognizing the complainant as someone her partner was involved with,&#8221; the release read. &#8220;During the altercation, the suspect threw a weighted plate toward the complainant\u2019s head, attempting to cause injury.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The woman was identified by police as 25-year-old Aralyn Martinez, the release said. Martinez and the victim did not know each other personally, and were just at the gym at the same time, according to local outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.khou.com\/article\/news\/crime\/woman-charge-gym-25-pound-weight-spring-fitness-center-pct-4-says\/285-1dca2f68-3785-4bf4-9ec8-6929f4541c4c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">KHOU<\/a>.
