{"id":140179,"date":"2026-01-19T15:44:06","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T15:44:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/140179\/"},"modified":"2026-01-19T15:44:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T15:44:06","slug":"garden-grove-approves-250000-contract-for-design-guidelines-for-parts-of-little-saigon-orange-county-register","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/140179\/","title":{"rendered":"Garden Grove approves $250,000 contract for design guidelines for parts of Little Saigon \u2013 Orange County Register"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of a multi-city collaboration to help revitalize Orange County\u2019s Little Saigon, the Garden Grove City Council recently awarded a $250,000 contract to develop architectural and urban design guidelines to visually signal to visitors that they are in \u201ca special place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Orange County\u2019s Little Saigon spans parts of Westminster, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley and Santa Ana and is home to the largest concentration of Vietnamese outside of Vietnam. The enclave\u2019s more than 700 businesses generate nearly $1 billion in collective annual sales.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the cities of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocregister.com\/2025\/10\/28\/business-improvement-district-for-little-saigon-gains-ground\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Garden Grove, Fountain Valley and Santa Ana entered an agreement<\/a> to create a Little Saigon business improvement district and tapped into $550,000 in state grant funding to revitalize businesses in the area.
