(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 A man has died after crashing into another driver on Highway 46, according to California Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>CHP says Bakersfield officers were called out to reports of a crash on Highway 46, west of Smith Avenue, at 1:16 p.m. on January 17.<\/p>\n<p>Officers found that a 20-year-old man was driving eastbound on Highway 46 when he crossed into westbound lanes and crashed into another driver.<\/p>\n<p>The other driver, a 60-year-old man, attempted to avoid the crash but was hit.<\/p>\n<p>The 20-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The 60-year-old man and his passenger were taken to a hospital in Bakersfield.<\/p>\n<p>CHP say Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
