(KGET) \u2014 The trial of Alan Booth, charged with drunken driving in two incidents including the 2023 Bakersfield Christmas Parade crash, has begun.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Booth, 74, is first standing trial on misdemeanor DUI charges for allegedly driving to a car dealership with a blood-alcohol content authorities say was three times the legal limit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Then he\u2019ll go on trial for the parade crash. He\u2019s accused of reversing his pickup at high speed while drunk, hitting several people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">17 News is live blogging Tuesday\u2019s proceedings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The misdemeanor trial is expected to be over by Jan. 30.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Booth is represented by defense attorney Jeremy Brehmer. The prosecutor handling the case is Brandon Stallings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The trial is being heard before Judge Brian M.
