Spanning from Southern to Northern California and ranging from innovative fusion kitchens to crowd favorites, these nine restaurants reflect the state\u2019s culinary creativity and diversity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The highest-ranked restaurant from the state was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/nam-kitchen-gardena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">NAM Kitchen in Gardena<\/a>, which also secured the third spot in the overall national ranking. The Vietnamese-Peruvian fusion restaurant has more than 1,600 5-star reviews on Yelp and was the most-reviewed business on this year\u2019s list, according to Yelp.<\/p>\n<p>NAM Kitchen is helmed by Chef Nam Lam, who was born in Vietnam to a family with Vietnamese, Chinese, and Khmer culinary roots. He opened NAM Kitchen to show guests \u201cwhat real Vietnamese flavors are,\u201d according to Yelp.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the popular dishes include Nam\u2019s spicy wontons, Pho Dac Biet, Pho filet mignon, tiger prawn garlic noodles, oxtail fried rice, and house chicken wings.<\/p>\n<p>Another California standout was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/broken-mouth-los-angeles-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Broken Mouth<\/a>, a Korean-Hawaiian restaurant located in a food hall in downtown Los Angeles. The restaurant placed seventh on the national list and marked its fourth appearance in Yelp\u2019s Top 10.<\/p>\n<p>Describing himself as \u201cKorean by blood, Hawaiian at heart,\u201d chef-owner Tim Lee created the menu based on his childhood in Oahu, family dinners, his uncle\u2019s Honolulu restaurant, and the flavors he missed after moving to the mainland, according to Yelp.<\/p>\n<p>Some crowd-favorite items include spam musubi, potato-mac salad, cucumber kimchi, and meat jun.<\/p>\n<p>While NAM Kitchen and Broken Mouth featured in Yelp\u2019s Top 10 list nationwide, the other Californian restaurants featured in the top 100 highlight the state\u2019s broad culinary reach.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The other California restaurants include:<\/p>\n<p>Greek Bistro in Glendale<br \/>\nTsukiyo Sushi in Los Angeles<br \/>\nFat Of The Land in Santa Ana<br \/>\nThan Tinh Chay in San Diego<br \/>\nZen Curry and Grill in Temecula<br \/>\nLapisara Eatery in San Francisco<br \/>\nBoard and Drink in San Francisco<\/p>\n<p>This year, the honorees <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20260121156275\/en\/Yelp-Announces-its-2026-Top-100-Places-to-Eat-in-the-United-States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">span 34 states<\/a>, with Texas leading with 17 restaurants, including seven in Houston alone, according to Yelp.
