LOS ANGELES COUNTY \u2014A popular national clothing chain with more than 450 stores is planning to close after a quarter-century in business, including two shops in the South Bay.<\/p>\n

From jewelry to bridal and in-season clothing, the mall-based boutique chain Francesca’s is liquidating its inventory, meaning shoppers can expect close-out sales to start soon.<\/p>\n

“We are liquidating our inventory and closing soon,\u201d a Francesca’s customer service representative told Women’s Wear Daily.<\/p>\n

The Francesca’s closing in the South Bay are located at:<\/p>\n

Del Amo Fashion Center: 3525 W Carson St #175, TorranceManhattan Village: 3200 N Sepulveda Blvd D-10, Manhattan Beach <\/p>\n

Founded in 1999, Houston-based Francesca’s opened stores in 45 states, employing more than 3,400 people.<\/p>\n

But the news of the closing follows a 2020 bankruptcy filing. At the time, Francesca’s had about 700 stores<\/a> and announced 140 locations would close, USA Today reported.<\/p>\n

Francesca’s has not publicly confirmed the closing.
