San Francisco Giants star Jung Hoo Lee was detained by US Customs and Border Protection at LAX Wednesday after forgetting travel documents, according to a report.<\/p>\n

Lee was stopped by the feds after flying into the Los Angeles airport from South Korea, the San Francisco Standard reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old outfielder was traveling to California for a Giants FanFest event, according to the report.<\/p>\n

San Francisco Rep. Nancy Pelosi\u2019s office said it was working with federal officials to secure his release, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

Lee\u2019s agent, Scott Boras, told the San Francisco Chronicle on Wednesday evening the issue was \u201cjust paper work,\u201d and a short time later, he said to the outlet<\/a> Lee had been released.<\/p>\n

Spring Training for the Giants begins in Scottsdale in three weeks.<\/p>\n

Lee signed a six-year deal with the Giants in December 2023 worth $113 million.<\/p>\n

In his first season in San Francisco, Lee \u2014 who previously starred in the KBO before joining the MLB \u2014 was limited to just 37 games due to injury.<\/p>\n
