Chung of the Santa Clara County Superior Court to serve as a member of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.judicialethicsopinions.ca.gov\/members\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Committee on Judicial Ethics Opinions (CJEO)<\/a>.\u00a0CJEO is an independent committee that helps inform the judiciary and the public on judicial ethics topics.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{36a70e51-1720-4918-aaae-254844ce3e25}{15}\" paraid=\"2074696169\">Judge Chung will\u00a0serve the\u00a0remainder\u00a0of Judge Erica Yew\u2019s\u00a0term, Feb. 1 through Dec. 31, 2026, due to her retirement after 24 years of service on the Santa Clara County Superior Court.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{36a70e51-1720-4918-aaae-254844ce3e25}{19}\" paraid=\"1598945549\">About the Committee on Judicial Ethics Opinions (CJEO) \u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{36a70e51-1720-4918-aaae-254844ce3e25}{21}\" paraid=\"1253909769\">The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.judicialethicsopinions.ca.gov\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Committee on Judicial Ethics Opinions<\/a>\u00a0is a 12-member advisory committee that includes appellate justices, trial court\u00a0judges\u00a0and commissioners. The committee is appointed and authorized by the California Supreme Court, but its work is independent of the court, the Judicial Council, and all other entities.
