150th Year Of Cal Crew Features 8 Regular-Season Events<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tCalifornia men’s rowing has revealed its 2026 race schedule as the Golden Bears embark upon the milestone 150th season of men’s crew at Cal. The Bears will contest all but one race in California this year, culminating with both the conference and national championships in Sacramento.\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nCal will open the 2026 campaign at the California Cup Challenge in Newport on Feb. 28. The Bears will then return to the Bay Area to co-host the Redwood Shores Invitational with Stanford over two days from March 7-8, where they will welcome Oregon State, UC San Diego, Santa Clara and the University of San Diego to their home racecourse. The Alumni Day races will be held in Oakland at the T. Gary Rogers Rowing Center the following week (March 14).

\nThe Bears Freshman 8+ will make the trip down south for the San Diego Crew Classic over the weekend of March 27-29. The two-day competition will once again be held in Mission Bay at the Mission Bay Parks with the young Bears racing in the Cal Cup and Open 8+ events.
\n\u00a0
\nCal will then host the annual California Classic on the weekend of April 4-5 at Redwood Shores. Crews from Wisconsin, Oregon State, Santa Clara, UC San Diego and Temple University will also be in attendance.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Bears will make their lone cross-country trip of the season to Princeton, New Jersey for the Princeton Invite on April 11-12. They will meet east coast crews from Brown, Yale, Syracuse, and Princeton at the regatta.
\n\u00a0
\nCal will close out the regular season with back-to-back rivalry races at Redwood Shores, first hosting a dual with Washington on April 25 before racing Stanford for The Big Row on May 2.
\n\u00a0
\nBoth postseason competitions will take place at Lake Natoma in Sacramento this year, with the MPSF Championships slated for May 17. Cal will look to defend its title as the Bears won the inaugural MPSF men’s rowing championship last season. The 2026 season will close out with the IRA Championships May 29-31.

\nAll of Cal’s home races at Redwood Shores will be streamed live for fans to watch on Overnght.com. The MPSF Championships and IRA Championships will also be streamed on Overnght.com.<\/p>\n
