LONG BEACH, Calif. \u2013 Academic All-Big West honorees were announced Thursday by the Big West Conference, and Long Beach State had 32 meet the qualifications across five Fall sports.

\nTo be selected Academic All-Conference, Student-Athletes must have a 3.00 cumulative grade point average, meet participation criteria relevant to their specific sport, and have completed a full academic year prior to the season for which the award is being received.

\nLong Beach State’s Cross Country programs saw nine student-athletes recognized. Jadyn Palaschuk<\/a>, Marikaw Schwab, Alyssa Tapanes<\/a>, Nataly Toledo<\/a>, Brooke Willoughby<\/a> earned the honor for the women’s program, with Cameron Gill<\/a>, Cristian Martinez<\/a>, Kyle Reden<\/a> and Levi Taylor<\/a> recognized for the men’s program. Reden earned special merit with a 4.00 cumulative GPA as a graduate student.

\nBig West regular season champions Men’s Water Polo had eight players recognized in Artur Diaz<\/a>, Joseph Jenness, Alec Jonnson, Konstantinos Kapragkos<\/a>, Jason O’Donnell<\/a>, Itai Roth<\/a>, Michael Soybel<\/a> and Harper Stewart<\/a>.

\nWomen’s Volleyball had seven honorees in Elise Agi<\/a>, Laurel Barsocchini<\/a>, Madi Collins<\/a>, Tatum Hoff<\/a>, Logan King<\/a>, Madi Maxwell<\/a>, and Rhiann Sheffie<\/a>.

\nWomen’s Soccer matched Men’s Water Polo for the most Academic All-Conference selections in the fall with eight, as the young team was represented by Natalie Arnold<\/a>, Jordan Candelaria<\/a>, Makena Irvine<\/a>, Malea Johnson<\/a>, Charlotte Luhr<\/a>, Kailey Supa<\/a>, Kana Uchida<\/a> and Zoe Willis<\/a>.
