OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. \u2013 Oakland County Prosecutor Karen D. McDonald charged DeAngelo Brown, 22, of Sterling Heights, Amaju Dozier, 23, of Auburn Hills, and Romello Johnson, 23, of Harper Woods, with multiple counts related to a gang shooting that injured two innocent bystanders.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred on Oct. 28, 2025, when Brown and Dozier allegedly spotted rival gang member Johnson at a BP station in Southfield. <\/p>\n
The three men reportedly engaged in a gunfight, during which an innocent bystander was struck in the arm.<\/p>\n
Brown is accused of continuing to shoot as Johnson returned fire while trying to reach his vehicle. <\/p>\n
Another innocent victim, who was in a passing pickup truck, was also hit. <\/p>\n
A bullet remained lodged near that victim\u2019s heart, and doctors have determined it is unsafe to remove.<\/p>\n
The charges against the defendants are as follows:<\/p>\n
DeAngelo Brown faces three counts of assault with intent to murder, four counts of felony firearms, felon in possession of a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon.<\/p>\n
Amaju Dozier is charged with assault with intent to murder, two counts of felony firearms, felon in possession of a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon.<\/p>\n
Romello Johnson faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a felon.<\/p>\n
Assault with intent to murder carries a punishment of any term of years in prison, up to life. <\/p>\n
Felony firearms charges carry a two-year prison sentence, served consecutively with any other sentence.<\/p>\n
A felon in possession of a firearm is punishable by five years in prison and\/or a $5,000 fine. <\/p>\n
Carrying a concealed weapon carries a penalty of five years in prison and\/or a $2,500 fine.<\/p>\n
