\u201cWe love the Edmonton Oilers organization and we love being in Bakersfield,\u201d said Griffith, 33. \u201cIt holds a special place in my family\u2019s heart. Both my kids were born in Bakersfield and ever since I got here in 2021 we\u2019ve loved it.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Condors captain and two-time AHL all-star is the franchise leader in games played (346), goals (106), assists (236) and points (342). He\u2019s played 13 pro seasons, including six in Bakersfield.<\/p>\n
Griffith played his 800th regular-season game as a pro last week. He\u2019s 29th on the AHL career scoring list with 683 points in 722 games.<\/p>\n
He was tied for fourth in the scoring race this season with 39 points in 38 games before Friday.<\/p>\n
Carleton wins weekly honour<\/p>\n
Chatham\u2019s Bridget Carleton is a Canada Basketball player of the week after setting the EuroLeague Women single-game record for three-pointers by sinking nine in a ZVVZ USK Praha win last week.<\/p>\n

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray is the other player of the week for averaging 35 points in four games.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, Carleton scored five points on 1-of-3 shooting in USK Praha\u2019s 71-64 win over Galatasaray in Istanbul, Turkey. She also had four rebounds, four steals and two assists.<\/p>\n
Carleton is averaging 12 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game in seven EuroLeague contests.<\/p>\n
Maroons to hold prospect camp<\/p>\n
The Chatham Maroons will hold their annual prospect camp Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, at Thames Campus Arena from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.<\/p>\n
Players born in 2007 to 2011 are eligible. They can apply at chathammaroons.com.<\/p>\n

Quinn Burke scored and Jackson Sterling made 35 saves for the last-place Wild (2-31-1-0) in Thursday\u2019s 5-1 loss to the Admirals before 110 fans at the Walpole Island Sports Complex.<\/p>\n
