San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky went viral following the 3-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The second year head coach was asked if this Sharks team has a different feel about getting out of a winless hole to start the season. Wasofsky said he believes they do, but let his emotions get the better of himself as he continued to answer.<\/p>\n

The Sharks head coach said that he would \u201cgive up one of his children for a f****ng win.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a team fly day to New York on Sunday, Warsofsky met with reporters following the Sharks practice. Before answering any questions, the San Jose Sharks coach issued an apology for his comments about his children.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, just want to apologize for my comments after the game. I love my kids, I would never give them up. I love my wife. I\u2019m a passionate, emotional person, and probably got ahead of me there, and so I apologize for those comments,\u201d Warsofsky said.<\/p>\n

While it is known that Warsofsky was joking during his original comments, the Sharks coach didn\u2019t want to risk it. Since being hired as the head coach in 2024, Warsofsky has always won his emotions on his sleeve.<\/p>\n

Before the game against the Penguins, Warsofsky used another explitive<\/a> and was determined to get a better effort from his team. While the result wasn\u2019t a win, the Sharks took a step forward in regards to their work ethic.<\/p>\n

Sharks also issue apology for offensive message <\/p>\n

Warsofsky\u2019s apology wasn\u2019t the only one the San Jose issued. During last Saturday\u2019s game, Los Tiburones night, a message on the center hung video board was displayed during the first intermission that is offensive. <\/p>\n

The Sharks quckly issued an apology for the message:<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the first intermission of tonight\u2019s game, an offensively worded message which had been externally submitted was inadvertently displayed on the in-arena scoreboard. Sharks Sports & Entertainment deeply regrets that this message, which does not meet our organization\u2019s values, was not detected during our standard review process. The Sharks organization sincerely apologizes for this oversight, and we are actively working to determine the origin of the message.\u201d<\/p>\n

Statement from the #SJSharks<\/a> on this message that appeared on the center-hung scoreboard during the first intermission<\/p>\n

The Sharks now begin a four-game road trip with a visit to the New York Islanders on Tuesday. Yaroslav Askarov<\/a> will start for the Sharks.<\/p>\n
