(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office has identified a man who died after being struck by a train in Shafter on Saturday as 40-year-old Gerardo Becerra Perez.<\/p>\n<p>The report said on January 17, 2026, at around 9:34 a.m., Perez was found dead after being hit by a train on South Beech Avenue and East Los Angeles Avenue in Shafter.<\/p>\n<p>The report said he died at the scene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
