Dorothy Pierce, 93, passed away January 8, 2026 at her home in Long Beach where she resided for 72 years. She was born in 1932 in Long Beach, CA. Dorothy was a retired Long Beach Police Officer and also a long-standing member and board member of the International Police Association (IPA). She married her loving husband Don in 1950. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Don (2005) and her sister Barbara Jean Randall (1997). She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Momo and Great Grandmother. Dorothy is survived by her son Richard (Char); daughter Kristine Leyvas; grandchildren Jessica, Justin (Nikki), Jillian, Jeffrey, Jason (Jenny), Jordan (Steph); and great grandchildren Madison, Logan, Landon, Hayden, Hudsen, Jack, Blake, Hartley, Korben, Jacey, Julia, Jadyn and Greysen.<\/p>\n
A service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 2:00pm at Forest Lawn, Cypress Patriots Chapel.
