Wilson was declared dead at 6:39 a.m, said the coroner.<\/p>\n<p>PREVIOUS REPORTING: <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/chp-crash-on-south-union-avenue-leaves-at-least-one-dead-kern-county-bakersfield-california-highway-patrol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">CHP: 25-year-old woman killed after struck by vehicle on South Union Avenue<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The California Highway Patrol reported that officers responded to the crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at around 6:17 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Comment with Bubbles<\/p>\n<p>BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT<\/p>\n<p>An investigation revealed that a 68-year-old man was driving a 2012 Toyota Yaris southbound when Wilson entered the roadway outside of a crosswalk and into the path of the vehicle. The Toyota struck Wilson, causing severe injuries. <\/p>\n<p>Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
