BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The man accused of driving under the influence and crashing into bystanders during the 2023 Bakersfield Christmas Parade<\/a> was found guilty on Tuesday in an unrelated DUI misdemeanor case, according to Kern County court records.<\/p>\n

Alan Booth, 74, was found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license from April 2024.<\/p>\n

On April 17, 2024, Booth was found in a vehicle under the influence at Jim Burke Ford on Oak Street. He was arrested shortly after he committed other traffic-related violations, said Bakersfield police. <\/p>\n

He is set to be sentenced on Thursday, court records show.<\/p>\n

Now that this trial has concluded, the felony case against Booth regarding the 2023 Bakersfield Christmas Parade can begin, which could start next week at the earliest, court records show.<\/p>\n
