LONG BEACH \u2014 A 38-year-old Long Beach man is in custody following a violent domestic dispute on Monday night that involved both a vehicle and a firearm.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Pacific County Sheriff\u2019s Office (PCSO) reported that deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 1900 block of 134th Lane at approximately 8:00 p.m. on January 19. The call initially came in as an assault involving a firearm.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to investigators, a dispute between the suspect and a male relative escalated rapidly. Witnesses at the scene told deputies that the suspect drove his vehicle at a high rate of speed down a driveway directly toward the victim. The relative was reportedly forced to jump out of the path of the moving vehicle to avoid being struck.<\/p>\n

The confrontation allegedly continued as the victim tried to retreat. At that point, the suspect is accused of pointing a handgun at the victim\u2019s head and threatening to kill him. The victim was able to find cover before authorities arrived.<\/p>\n

While deputies did not immediately recover the firearm, a consent search of the suspect’s vehicle yielded a leather holster and ammunition. Statements from multiple witnesses corroborated the victim’s account of the incident.<\/p>\n

The suspect was arrested without further incident and booked into the Pacific County Jail. He faces charges of First-Degree Assault (Domestic Violence) and Reckless Driving.<\/p>\n

As with all criminal cases, the PCSO notes that the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.<\/p>\n
