Sacramento mural to mark KCRA’s 70th anniversary<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBUT FOR NOW, TEAMS SAY THEY ARE ON TRACK. WELL, KCRA THREE IS CELEBRATING OUR 70TH ANNIVERSARY WITH A MURAL THAT FEATURES A HISTORIC KCRA 3 NEON SIGN FROM THE 1950S. LIVECOPTER3 THE STATE CAPITOL AND OF COURSE, THE BEAM. TODAY IS DAY NINE OF PAINTING. IT\u2019S PAINTED BY A916 MURALIST WHO HAS BEEN MAKING ART FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS. HE SAYS HIS ART IS A CHANCE TO CONNECT WITH THE COMMUNITY. LIKE ALL THESE NEIGHBORS HERE, THEY GOT THE ROOFS. THEY COME BY AND THEY TELL US THE STORIES. YOU KNOW, IT\u2019S JUST, YOU KNOW, BRINGING THE KINGDOM, RIGHT? I DON\u2019T KNOW, IT JUST IT\u2019S JUST LIKE PEOPLE TAKE PRIDE IN, YOU KNOW, THEIR COMMUNITY STUFF. YOU KNOW, IT FEELS LIKE HOME. AND THEN I CAN DRIVE AROUND TOWN. I\u2019M STARTING TO SEE MORE AND MORE STUFF HERE AND THERE, AND I\u2019M LIKE, YEAH, RIGHT. YEAH, IT\u2019S LOOKING GOOD. THE MURAL IS EXPECTED TO TAKE ABOUT A WEEK AND A HALF TO THREE WEEKS TO COMPLETE. SO YEAH, THEY HAD SOME NICE\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
