BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 A two-month-old baby died at the hospital after being found unresponsive early Tuesday morning at a northeast Bakersfield home.<\/p>\n
The Kern County Sheriff\u2019s Office said on January 28, 2026, at around 5:14 a.m., deputies responded to the 400 block of Crawford Street for a medical emergency for a juvenile.<\/p>\n
When deputies arrived, they found a two-month-old baby girl who was unresponsive and not breathing.<\/p>\n
KCSO said responding deputies performed life-saving measures on the baby until she was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
Detectives were called to the scene due to the nature of the incident.<\/p>\n
KCSO said at this time, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
