{"id":154232,"date":"2026-01-29T01:57:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T01:57:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/154232\/"},"modified":"2026-01-29T01:57:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T01:57:07","slug":"man-bound-robbed-of-jewelry-at-parking-structure-near-lax-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/154232\/","title":{"rendered":"Man bound, robbed of jewelry at parking structure near LAX, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A man was bound with duct tape and robbed inside his vehicle Tuesday night in a parking structure near Los Angeles International Airport, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to a call at around 8:15 p.m. to the 6100 block of West Century Boulevard about a victim whose feet had been duct-taped, Los Angeles Police Department officials confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>The man in his 50s was discovered inside his white Toyota sedan in a parking structure along Century Boulevard near LAX, according to footage broadcast by <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/ktla.com\/news\/local-news\/man-found-bound-with-duct-tape-in-car-near-lax-after-armed-robbery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">RMG News<\/a>, a stringer news service.<\/p>\n<p>Paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the man, who was experiencing difficulty breathing, though he remained conscious, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The victim, whose wallet and jewelry had been taken, described the suspect as a white male wearing a black hat, black shirt and black pants and carrying a handgun.<\/p>\n<p>Other<a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/local\/lax-parking-structure-jewelry-robbery\/3837492\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> news reports<\/a> say the victim was pepper-sprayed and then taped up, with the stolen jewelry amounting to about $400,000.
