Demonstrations will be held across the nation on Friday and Saturday, including in Los Angeles, calling for the withdrawal of federal immigration agents.<\/p>\n

Why now: Immigration raids ramped up over the summer and have shown no signs of slowing down. The protests are in response to the back-to-back killings of Renee Nicole Good<\/a> and Alex Pretti<\/a> in Minnesota, as well as those who have died in ICE custody.<\/p>\n

Background: It\u2019s the second call to action for a national strike against the Trump administration\u2019s immigration enforcement actions. Last week, thousands took to the streets of Los Angeles<\/a>, Minneapolis and other cities, calling for an end to the ICE raids.<\/p>\n
