Deputies had to step in to disperse a crowd outside a Lynwood restaurant after the group confronted off-duty federal agents Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) told NBC4 Investigates.<\/p>\n
The LASD officials responded to a Korean restaurant at around 6 p.m. after receiving a call about the off-duty TSA agents being surrounded by a large crowd.<\/p>\n
The agents told deputies that they were eating dinner inside a Korean restaurant when they were confronted by people, who thought the federal officials were from Immigrant and Customs Enforcement, the sheriff’s department said.<\/p>\n
When deputies arrived, they saw about 20 people outside the restaurant, yelling the agents go home. <\/p>\n
After the TSA agents left the area safely, the deputies were able to disperse the crown without any issue within 30 minutes or so, the sheriff’s department added.<\/p>\n
It was not immediately clear why the crowd through the off-duty agents work for ICE. <\/p>\n
