The city of Sacramento introduced a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofsacramento.gov\/ccs\/esd\/entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Limited\u00a0Entertainment Permit<\/a>\u00a0to help streamline the process for restaurants\/cafes,\u00a0bars\u00a0and small venues\u00a0to\u00a0host live music and\u00a0entertainment.\u00a0An\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sacramentocityexpress.com\/2026\/01\/22\/small-businesses-invited-to-learn-about-limited-entertainment-permit-on-jan-29\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">outreach and training meeting<\/a>\u00a0for interested parties\u00a0will be held today at 5 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Could this permit finally\u00a0cut\u00a0through the red tape\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0long\u00a0been a sticking point in Sacramento?\u00a0We\u2019ll\u00a0stay on top of it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, we have another busy\u00a0week\u00a0that includes\u00a0jazzy\u00a0offerings\u00a0at two\u00a0new spots, a\u00a0screen-printing\u00a0workshop, electric guitar wizardry,\u00a0a shriek-fest of a film festival\u00a0and more.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s\u00a0get it!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dig into jazz,\u00a0art\u00a0and\u00a0culture\u00a0on the boulevard\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The details:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Angel\u2019s Center for the Arts, 1019 Del Paso Blvd., Sacramento\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>6 p.m. Jan. 31 (Saturday)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>$30 advance, $40 at door\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Billie Holiday\u2019s vocals ring\u00a0eternal\u00a0with their impeccable phrasing and emotional power. Vivian\u2019s\u00a0own vocals have been a\u00a0hallmark of Sacramento\u2019s jazz scene for more than two decades.
