(FOX40.COM) \u2014\u00a0The victim in a 1993 cold case from Fresno was identified as a woman from Sacramento, according to the Fresno County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

FCSO said the woman\u2019s body was found on July 12, 1993, on Interstate 5.<\/p>\n

She was discovered to be wearing a ring with a photograph of a young boy around 3-4 years old, a California Hollywood Rat Race t-shirt, jean shorts and a white cross necklace.<\/p>\n

The Cold Case Unit identified the woman in December 2025 as Janet Fay Moore. Deputies said she was 40-years-old when her body was discovered.<\/p>\n

Moore was born in Nevada, but lived in the Sacramento area from 1971 through the time of her death.<\/p>\n

The circumstances of her death are unknown.<\/p>\n
