Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith each had an assist for the San Jose Sharks. Yaroslav Askarov was spectacular, making 28 saves.

“Six on five was obviously not good enough, and that’s something we’ll look at,” Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said. “There’s moments in the third where we need to continue to make plays and push forward. We didn’t do enough of that.”

Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard each had a goal and two assists. Connor McDavid had a goal and an assist for the Oilers, who came back to tie it in the third with three goals. After giving up a goal on the first two shots he faced, Connor Ingram made 17 saves.

Edmonton has won three games in a row for the first time all season.

Tonight was the first time in the San Jose Sharks’ franchise history that they scored three or more goals in the first period in three straight games.

“I thought we got on pucks. Our forecheck, our pressure, something that I thought we did a pretty good job of,” Warsofsky said. “Again, we control the game through the second period, even the first goal we gave up, [that shot is going wide, hits [Orlov]. So, bounces are gonna happen. We’re gonna move forward.”

Graf scored 26 seconds into the game. After he helped create a turnover at the blue line, Celebrini found Smith down low, who then fed an easy pass to Graf in front.

“Just surfed across. We were trying to have a strong F3 to try to limit their off the rush and good stick on puck turnover,” Graf said. “Then two elite plays from Mack and Smitty, and put it in an open net.”

Gaudette scored to make it 2-0 1:09 later. After a bad change by the Oilers, Gaudette raced in on a breakaway and went backhand on Ingram.

Misa extended the Sharks’ lead to 3-0. Timothy Liljegren flipped the puck high into the neutral zone, and Misa raced in on a two-on-one. His shot rebounded right off Bouchard’s skate and past Jarry.

Draisaitl poked the puck in behind Askarov at 1:34 of the third period to make it a 3-1 game. Evan Bouchard’s slap shot from the point was deflected and got under Askarov and behind him.

With the net empty, McDavid scored at 16:54. After taking a pass in the left circle, McDavid’s wrist shot beat Askarov over the blocker on the far side.

Bouchard tied the game 3-3 at 19:01 with a slap shot from the point.

EDMONTON– Zach Hyman scored the game-winning goal in overtime with 3:54 left as the Edmonton Oilers came back…

[29
4214,3524,2070,70138,37614,1035,3259,88,90,89,98,755,76466
0":"post-156137","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-jose","8":"tag-adam-gaudette","9":"tag-collin-graf","10":"tag-edmonton-oilers","11":"tag-evan-bouchard","12":"tag-leon-draisaitl","13":"tag-macklin-celebrini","14":"tag-michael-misa","15":"tag-san-jose","16":"tag-san-jose-headlines","17":"tag-san-jose-news","18":"tag-san-jose-sharks","19":"tag-sj-sharks","20":"tag-zach-hyman
["GET
