Developers say the terminal will favour smaller vessels of 9,000 TEU or less, prioritising rapid berth, discharge, and gate turn times over ultra-large-ship scale. The focus is on speed-to-market ocean containerized e-commerce cargo, not low-value de minimis shipments. Built with electric ship-to-shore cranes and zero-emission, human-operated equipment, the terminal is expected to handle up to 1.8 million TEUs annually.
