USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force men’s basketball (3-18, 0-10 MW) fell to Fresno State (10-11, 4-6 MW), 79-62, in Mountain West action Saturday afternoon at Clune Arena. \u00a0Freshman guard Ethan Greenberg<\/a> led the Falcons with 11 points.<\/p>\n

Air Force hung with Fresno State early, but went cold in the second half. \u00a0Fresno State knocked down 12 three’s in the game, led by David Douglas Jr’s 21 points and five three’s made.<\/p>\n

Air Force trailed by just five at the half 44-39. \u00a0The Falcons shot 55 percent in the opening half, knocking down five three’s.<\/p>\n

In the second half, the Falcons got to within two points early in the half. \u00a0But the Falcons then missed 12 straight field goals and found themselves trailing by double digits.<\/p>\n

Air Force knocked down nine three’s for the night. \u00a0its 36 rebounds was the most in a MW game so far this season. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Greenberg led the Falcons with three made three’s. \u00a0He also tied for the team-lead with a career-high six rebounds. \u00a0Eli Robinson<\/a> added eight points and two steals.<\/p>\n

The Falcons got 28 points from its bench. \u00a0Freshman Riley Dering<\/a> set career-high’s with eight points and six rebounds. \u00a0Justin Hinds<\/a> and Elliott Taite<\/a> score six points and Brendan Martin<\/a> added five. \u00a0AJ Patterson led the Falcons with a career-high five assists.<\/p>\n
