Ariadna Temprano Xambo had two goals and four assists and Raha Peiravani and Camille Radosavljevic also scored two goals to lift the fifth-ranked University of Hawaii women\u2019s water polo team to a 10-8 victory over No. 7 Long Beach State in the Triton Invitational in La Jolla, Calif.<\/p>\n
The victory enabled the Wahine (4-2) to claim third place in the tournament. Lucy Miszewski scored three goals for Long Beach State (7-3).<\/p>\n
The Wahine surged ahead early to a 3-0 lead behind a penalty shot by Radosavljevic, a power-play goal by Roni Perlman and a goal from Gabrielle Doyle. UH went on another run in the second quarter for a 6-3 halftime lead en route to the victory.<\/p>\n
The Wahine also scored three goals in the third quarter for a 9-3 lead. But the Beach scored four consecutive goals between the third and fourth quarters to close to 9-7 \u2014 three of them in the third. Peiravani\u2019s goal with 2:40 left made it 10-8.<\/p>\n
Daisy Logtens anchored the Wahine defense, recording a season-high 12 saves.<\/p>\n

Ariadna Temprano Xambo led the Rainbow Wahine with a season-high six points with two goals and four assists, while Raha Peiravani and Camille Radosavljevic also scored two goals apiece. In the cage, Daisy Logtens anchored the defense recording a season-high 12 saves.<\/p>\n
UH surged to an early 3-0 lead by capitalizing on Long Beach State miscues. Radosavljevic drained a penalty shot, Roni Perlman followed with a power-play strike, and Gabrielle Doyle cut toward the cage and floated in another goal. The Beach added a score with 37 seconds left in the quarter and the \u2018Bows held a 3-1 lead.<\/p>\n
UH opened the second quarter with another 3-0 scoring run, sparked by a goal from Peiravani and capped by back-to-back scores from Temprano Xamb\u00f3. Long Beach State scored twice to close the period, and UH entered halftime with a 6-3 advantage.<\/p>\n
For a third consecutive quarter, the Rainbow Wahine struck first with three unanswered goals. Perlman threaded a perfect pass to Tara Logan for a power-play finish, followed by two more goals from Radosavljevic and Esmee Roijen. The Beach matched the \u2018Bows with three goals later in the period, and UH maintained a three-goal cushion heading into the fourth.<\/p>\n
Long Beach State opened the final frame with a goal at the 6:48 mark. Defenses stood tall for more than four minutes before Peiravani took control of the middle to add her second goal of the contest. The Beach converted on a power play with 1:22 left in the quarter, but UH\u2019s defense closed out the match without allowing another score, and the Rainbow Wahine improved to 5-2 on the season.<\/p>\n
