HAZEL PARK, Mich. \u2013 A 51-year-old man from Hazel Park is facing charges after reportedly hitting a man with a hatchet.<\/p>\n
The investigation into Robert Narducci started early Thursday morning, Jan. 29, when a man arrived at a hospital emergency room with serious injuries to his face and hand.<\/p>\n
The victim told police he and two friends went to a home on Nine Mile Road to pick up a friend. There, Narducci reportedly confronted him over an issue involving his family.<\/p>\n
During the conversation, Narducci allegedly grabbed a hatchet and swung it at the victim\u2019s head. The victim suffered serious injuries to his hand while blocking the swing.<\/p>\n
The victim and his friend fled from the house to a vehicle, where Narducci reportedly struck him in the face with the hatchet.<\/p>\n
The victim, a 31-year-old man from Royal Oak, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. They are expected to survive.<\/p>\n
Police said they executed a search warrant at the home, where they found the hatchet and the victim\u2019s blood. <\/p>\n
Narducci was arrested and charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm. His bond was set at $10,000.<\/p>\n
