(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The CSU Bakersfield campus is on lockdown due to a threat, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csub.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">according to its website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>An official with CSUB said on February 2, 2026, at around 2:45 p.m., they received an anonymous call from a person who claimed they had a gun and were going to shoot up the campus and blow themselves up.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"California State University, Bakersfield KBAK\/KBFX{p}{\/p}\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/dc027810-92d2-46f4-81e3-2a19c6c504ff-Sequence_EVERT_0825CSUB_0001_frame_987.jpeg\"\/>California State University, Bakersfield KBAK\/KBFX<\/p>\n<p>Campus is locked down out of an abundance of caution.<\/p>\n<p>Students and staff are actively sheltering in place.<\/p>\n<p>BPD and University Police are blocking all entrances to campus, so nobody is allowed to come on campus<\/p>\n<p>Officials said as of 3:30 p.m., there is no active shooter on campus.<\/p>\n<p>Comment with Bubbles<\/p>\n<p>BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT<\/p>\n<p>This is a developing story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
