OAKLAND \u2014 The death of a woman from traumatic injuries Monday morning near downtown was being investigated as a homicide, authorities said.<\/p>\n
No other information about the woman has been released. An autopsy will determine her exact cause of death.<\/p>\n
The woman was found at about 11 a.m. Monday at her residence in the 2300 block of San Pablo Avenue, police said. She was pronounced dead at the building.<\/p>\n
Police have not yet released a possible motive and have not announced any arrests. The death is the 10th homicide investigated by Oakland police in 2026 and the second within a day. Last year at this time, police had investigated 13 homicides in the city.<\/p>\n
