Oakland<\/a> dropped down to 18-6 on Saturday, ending the team’s eight-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Modesto Christian Crusaders<\/a> by a score of 74-71. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 56-52 loss they experienced in the pair’s previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.<\/p>\n As for Modesto Christian, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.9 points over those games.<\/p>\n Modesto Christian was led to victory by Siincere Hudson<\/a> and Trevor Dickson<\/a>. Hudson went 8-for-19 en route to 23 points along with six assists and six boards, while Dickson shot 50% from the field on his way to 21 points. Hudson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he’s played. Another player making a difference was Cole Martin<\/a>, who posted ten points and five rebounds.<\/p>\n Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland will welcome Oakland Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will be up against the Bulldogs’ rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Modesto Christian, they will host Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crusaders will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 55 points in their last 12 contests.<\/p>\n
