After delivering a season-high performance and win for Long Beach State, sophomore\u00a0JaQuoia Jones-Brown\u00a0has been named Big West Player of the Week. This is a second career nod, also earning distinction on Nov. 17 after the second week of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jones-Brown averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over the two-game stretch,\u00a0opening\u00a0the week with a season-high 29 points in a 75\u201372 win over UC Riverside. The guard\u00a0shot\u00a010-of-19 from the field\u00a0(.526), 3-for-3 from three-point range and\u00a0finished a perfect\u00a06-for-6 at the free throw line\u00a0while adding six rebounds, four assists and three steals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The\u00a0native\u00a0of Atlanta, Ga.,\u00a0followed with 18 points, five rebounds and two assists at\u00a0Hawai\u2018i, again logging all 40 minutes\u00a0while leading the Beach in scoring.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jones-Brown currently ranks\u00a0in the top five\u00a0in the Big West in\u00a0scoring\u00a0(17.1\u00a0ppg)\u00a0and free throw percentage (82.4)\u00a0while landing on the top line in minutes per game at 37.04. Rarely taking plays off, Jones-Brown’s time tally ranks sixth in NCAA Division I.\u00a0<\/p>\n
