Our sound system was ripped out. Sacred and valuable items were thrown about and damaged \u2014 as if the goal was destruction itself,\u201d according to the post. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhoever did this didn\u2019t just steal. They targeted. They attempted to pry open the Tabernacle. They destroyed items that are irreplaceable, both spiritually and financially. Some pieces can never truly be replaced, and others will be incredibly difficult \u2014 if not impossible \u2014 to restore,\u201d the post said.<\/p>\n<p>A <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/restoring-holy-innocents-after-vandalism?attribution_id=sl:b6bd813b-772d-44a8-bdde-85783f6571ae&amp;lang=en_US&amp;ts=1770085150&amp;utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&amp;utm_content=amp17_tb&amp;utm_medium=customer&amp;utm_source=copy_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">GoFundMe site<\/a> has raised more than $91,000 toward repairs to the church as of Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, officers responded to a reported burglary in the 2500 block of Pacific Avenue, according to a Long Beach Police Department news release. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators determined that unknown thieves broke into the school and stole multiple items, according to the release. The incident was a \u201ccrime of opportunity with damage caused during the course of the burglary.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The extent of the loss is undetermined, police said.
