He was part of the Class of 2025 and arrived with serious expectations. 247Sports rated him 90.0 and ranked him No. 26 at safety and No. 34 in Florida.

Wallace did not play his senior season at Miami Central while recovering from a fractured tibia he suffered in July.

Wallace started as a sophomore on a 14-0 Miami Central team that won a state title. He finished with 44 tackles, 10 pass breakups and two interceptions while also blocking two punts on special teams. At Miami, he didn’t log production in 2025.

Sacramento State has been pushing hard to level up. The school has aggressive FBS ambitions and the investment surrounding its athletic push, including facility plans, is something that the school hopes will push them into the next level. Another thing to note: The Big Sky Conference said Sacramento State notified the them of its intention to withdraw as a member effective June 30, 2026. They will join the Big West Conference for the 2026-27 school year and be an FCS Independent in football.

Sacramento State hired Alonzo Carter as head coach after a 7-5 season under Brennan Marion, with Carter coming from Arizona’s staff.

For Miami, losing a homegrown four-star so early in his career is never the ideal outcome. But for Sacramento State, it’s a major portal win and another sign the Hornets are recruiting with serious ambition.

Miami true freshman defensive back Amari Wallace has transferred to Sacramento State, according to CBS Sports reporters Chris…

[32
121,123,122
0":"post-163002","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-sacramento","8":"tag-sacramento","9":"tag-sacramento-headlines","10":"tag-sacramento-news
["GET
